Description

Síolta Chroí More Trees Now project has been saving excess saplings for a second chance. Each tree produces hundreds of seedlings every year. Most of these do not survive. By scooping these out together and giving them away for free to citizens, farmers, food forests and outdoorsy people who want to plant, we can make Ireland greener faster and more fun! Since 2020 we have transplanted more than two million trees and shrubs, will you join us?

The saplings are between 50 and 150 cm. 

For volunteers: We need help to hand out all these beautiful trees! Will you come and help us? Then register via the button: I will help! We usually start preparations a little earlier, so you will hear the exact start time from the organizer.

Practical

Bring a tarp or bag to keep your car clean. It is also advisable to take an old towel with you and a bottle of water, so that you can dampen the towel and place it over the (dry) root. This way you protect your seedling during transport! At home, stick it directly in the ground or a container with water to prevent it from drying out.

Seedlings are registered in the tree planner. To organize this conveniently, you need to register for a time slot on the distribution day. You will then receive a QR code in your phone.

When receiving the seedlings, we scan the QR code and the seedlings are registered as rehomed.
