Description
Will you help us save these trees?
More Trees Now saves excess saplings for a second chance. Each tree produces hundreds of seedlings every year. Most of these do not survive to adulthood.
By rehoming these trees and with farmers, food forests and outdoorsy people who want to plant, we can make Ireland greener, faster and more fun!
Since 2020 we have transplanted more than two million trees and shrubs, will you join us? On a harvest day we cut out the underprivileged trees These are disadvantaged because, for example, they are in the mowing path.
An educational, fun day in nature. You learn to look at nature differently; nature gives us in abundance and you get to know all kinds of different types of trees in winter mode.
We expect to harvest the following species
PLEASE NOTE: YOU CANNOT RESERVE TREES. THESE KINDS AND NUMBERS ARE AN INDICATION, WE MAKE AS FAIR A DISTRIBUTION AS POSSIBLE.| Field Elm | |
| Field Maple | |
| Sessile Oak |
Practical
Dress warmly. There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! This means, among other things, a good raincoat and waterproof shoes.
If you have garden tools, such as a spade, shovel or pruning shears, it is always nice if you want to take them with you. Also make sure you have a thermos and something to eat. Deep in the forest there are sometimes no facilities.
Location: The meeting is at Myross Wood House
