Description

Will you help us save these trees?

More Trees Now saves surplus seedlings for a second chance. Each tree produces hundreds of seedlings every year. Most of these do not survive. By carefully scooping these out and giving them away for free to citizens, farmers, food forests and outdoorsy people who want to plant, we can make the our environment greener faster and more fun!

On a harvest day we dig out these trees An educational, fun day in nature. You learn to look at nature differently; nature gives us in abundance and you learn a lot about how a sapling looks in wintertime!

NOTE: Schedule is subject to change based on the availability of planting location. If available we will harvest less, and plant in the afternoon. Note that one can also join a part of the day, rather than the whole day. Please send us a message if this is the case.

Schedule:

09.30 We assemble, small explanation about the day

10.00 Start the harvest in groups

12.00 Break! Please bring a thermos and some (extra) food

13.00 Start harvest, we will also need a sorting/bundling/labling group

13.30 Parallel to the harvest, the sorting group will start to organize the different types of saplings, and bundle and label these.

15.30 We will start moving the saplings towards a secondary location; the tree hub.

16.30 End of the day, let's head for the pub!

Practical

Dress warmly. There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! This means, among other things, a good raincoat and waterproof shoes. If you have garden tools, such as a spade, shovel or pruning shears, it is always nice if you want to take them with you. Also make sure you have a thermos and something to eat. Deep in the forest there are sometimes no facilities. Deep in the forest there are sometimes no facilities. Also make sure you have a thermos and something to eat.
